Executive Director​, Michael K. Williams

Michael Kerry Williams joined Tidewater Winds in January 2018. He brings with him a wealth of experiences in arts management, development, fundraising, special events, musical performance, arts education, and program design to the organization.
Mr. Williams is a classical vocalist, composer, arranger, poet, arts administrator and Conductor with over 25 years of work in the arts, ranging from opera, orchestra, theatre, visual arts, business and community leadership. He has served as Artistic Director and Executive Director for numerous arts organizations and continues to maintain his performance and composition career. 
Michael's musical experience began as a child and soloist with the American Boychoir and continued with Performing Arts Schools. He holds advanced degrees and certifications in Performance, Composition, Conducting and Arts Management from Westminster, Princeton University, New York University, Julliard, and TCC's non-profit Management Program. He is excited to further the legacy of Tidewater Winds and looks forward to ensuring the success of this treasured organization. 

Mr. Williams resides in Chesapeake with his wife Michelle of over 20-years, his two sons, two dogs and Nibby... the stray cat that decided to stay.
